Clergy moves announced

Fr Olek Stirrat was appointed Vocations director for the Adelaide Archdiocese in the latest round of clergy appointments announced by Archbishop Patrick O’Regan.
Fr Janeesh Jose Puthenpurackal CMI has been appointed parish priest of Newton and Tranmere parishes and Fr Benny Lawrance Martin George SdM will resume his role as assistant priest at those parishes.
Fr Vincent Wijesuriya has been appointed to assist with the Italian Masses at Newton Parish.
Fr Pham Quang Vinh CP, who was recently ordained in Adelaide and is a priest of the Passionist Order at The Monastery, Urrbrae, has been appointed assistant chaplain to the Vietnamese Catholic Community at Our Lady of the Boat People Church, Pooraka.

He will work with chaplain Fr Nguyễn Bá Kiện CP.
Fr Louis Saad has been appointed administrator of the Edwardstown parish, commencing in February, while continuing his ministry as a part-time hospital chaplain.
Fr Olek Stirrat has been appointed as Promoter of Priestly Vocations, commencing January.
Vincent Nguyen will commence this year as a new seminarian for the Archdiocese of Adelaide and will be attending the Holy Spirit Seminary Banyo, Queensland.
Fr Phillip Alstin retired at the end of January as administrator of Edwardstown parish, a position he filled with “great dedication” for 21 years.
“We wish him and his wife Sandra all God’s blessings for the future,” Archbishop O’Regan said.
