The Clearview/Kilburn parish held a gathering on Friday June 24 to celebrate the World Meeting of Families in Rome.
The 6.30pm Mass held at St Brigid’s Church Kilburn was presided by Vicar General Fr Dean Marin and parish priest Fr Raj Selva and was a wonderful opportunity for the 75 parishioners present to reflect on the importance of families in the Church.
Some couples even took the opportunity to renew and exchange their wedding vows. A newly-formed choir and group of musicians led the singing and bookmarks with scriptural quotes were distributed to all parishioners. As families left the church, the Say a Little Prayer booklets prepared by the Family Faith Formation team were distributed.
Supper in the parish hall rounded out the joyous celebration.
