The centenary of Stella Maris, the Catholic Church’s missionary work with seafarers, will be celebrated in Adelaide on Sunday (December 6) at 5pm.

Celebrations were due to be held in Glasgow, Scotland, in October but were cancelled due to the COVID pandemic.

While the Adelaide Mass will be restricted to volunteers, members of Vinnies and a small number of local parishioners, it will be live streamed via the Stella Maris YouTube channel:  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1GHlJCduNLcqXaTwjCYXKw.

Adelaide Archbishop Patrick O’Regan will be the main celebrant, assisted by Fr Roderick O’Brien, chaplain of Stella Maris Adelaide, at Our Lady of the Visitation, Taperoo.
