Spotlight on Catholic schools
Schools
Catholic schools across the State will be opening their doors and showcasing their offerings to the wider community as part of the annual ‘open week’ event starting today.
An initiative of Catholic Education SA, Catholic Schools Open Week will run from August 22 to 28 and will provide families an opportunity to connect and explore the benefits of a Catholic education.
During the week schools will hold school tours and open days, all run with COVID-safe protocols. Some will have virtual tours on their websites, so families can get a taste of what a Catholic school can offer without having to leave their home!

“Catholic Schools Open Week is an opportunity for any parent considering a Catholic education for their child to meet their local Catholic school and discover why Catholic education is a choice worth making,” said Dr Neil McGoran, director, Catholic Education South Australia.
As part of the week-long celebration, Catholic education is currently ‘front and centre’ in communities through a major advertising campaign.
In what is the largest ever promotion run by Catholic Education SA to date, more than 90 students from Catholic schools across SA are featuring on advertisements on billboards, buses, bus shelters and in retail shopping centres. Print, digital, cinema and radio advertising is also being seen and heard across regional SA.
A list of Catholic Schools Open Week activities planned at participating schools is available at www.cesa.catholic.edu.au.
