Sarah Constructions is expected to complete the work by October 2018.
Principal Gavin McGlaughlin said significant civil work had occurred on site during the early weeks of the school year.
“Much excitement is being generated within our community as the first impressions become visible of what is going to be an internationally accredited sports facility, “ he said.
“It will provide playing spaces for basketball, netball, volleyball, badminton, futsal, and a significant function/multi-purpose space.’’
The sports centre is part of a $27 million development that also includes a new primary school building and early learning centre at the college.
