Clergy appointments announced

A number of new clergy appointments have been announced by Archbishop Patrick O’Regan and will take effect from April 24.

Among the changes are the appointment of Fr Mark Sexton, parish priest of Northern Light, to parish priest of Henley Beach, and Fr Charles Lukati from parish priest of Croydon Park to Salisbury parish.
Fr Sexton will be replaced by Fr Roy Elavumkal SMM, currently parish priest of Tranmere, and Monsignor Minh-Tam Nguyen will move from the Vietnamese Catholic Community at Pooraka to be parish priest of Croydon Park.
Fr Kien Nguyen CP will be the new chaplain to the Vietnamese Catholic Community where he is currently assistant chaplain.
Fr Josy Sebasian MSFS will move from Noarlunga-Seaford and Willunga parishes to be parish priest of Lefevre Catholic Community.
Fr Dominick Okwadha will become administrator of Noarlunga Seaford and Willunga parishes.
Fr George Oluoch, currently assisting the Cathedral parish, will take on the role of administrator of Murray Bridge, Murray Mallee and Mallee Border parishes.
Archbishop O’Regan expressed his “profound thanks” to Missionaries of St Francis de Sales priests Fr Shibu Jacob and Fr Manu Kumbidiyamackal Varkey who are returning home to India after Easter.
