Cibo Espresso vouchers and special surprises for children are on their way to foster carers, in recognition of their passion for nurturing children in family-based care.

Over the coming days, carer support practitioners will deliver more than 200 presents which will be shared among every child within the program.

Those who were excited to attend Centacare’s Christmas party, which was cancelled for health safety reasons, also will receive a personalised message from Father and Mother Christmas in addition to a craft pack or monogrammed bauble.

Hampers packed with handcrafted artisan products from South Australian business, Big Sissy Foods, will be gifted to the childrens’ foster families.

“We might not be celebrating together in person but we can still spread the joy of Christmas,’’ said Amalie Mannik, manager, Centacare Foster Care.

Specialist Reunification foster carer Danielle O’Reilly is urging households to do the same.

“Take it in and enjoy the day with the kids and show them what the spirit of Christmas is all about,’’ she said.
