The group, which meets each Monday morning at Kingswood, has crocheted more than 300 poppies over several months to create the words, Lest We Forget.

With the assistance of Fr Bob Wilkinson, the poppies have been placed on mesh and the banner now adorns the fence outside Our Lady of Dolours Church.

It will be on display during November to remind passersby of the importance of remembering those who gave their lives fighting for their country. The parish also plans on displaying the banner in the lead up to Anzac Day.
