New appointments for clergy

Apostolic Administrator Bishop Greg O'Kelly SJ has released details of new appointments for clergy in the Adelaide Archdiocese next year.
From the weekend of January 4/5, the following changes will take effect:
Hindmarsh/Findon parish: Fr Lancy D’Silva CSC takes over as parish priest. In announcing the appointment, Bishop O’Kelly extended his gratitude and thanks to Fr Paul Cashen msc for providing ministry and stepping into the interim role as Administrator for the parish.
Noarlunga Seaford parish: Fr Prathap Katta SDM will join the parish as assistant priest. Bishop O’Kelly expressed his thanks to Fr Jack Otto SJ for his 12 month term in the parish and wished him well in his future ministry.
Lockleys parish: Fr Arul Dev SDM is appointed assistant priest.
Adelaide Cathedral parish: Fr Bakhos Azar has been appointed to support the local Melkite Catholic Community and will also assist the parish. Deacon Alfred Donat will be deacon to the parish.
Blackwood parish: Deacon Tee Ping Koh is appointed deacon to the parish, also continuing his work as chaplain at the Flinders Medical Centre.
Other appointments which will take effect from the weekend of January 25/26 include:
Glenelg parish: Fr John Herd will be Priest in Residence and will assume duties as parish priest at Easter 2020. Bishop O’Kelly extended his thanks to Fr Anthony Kain who will continue as parish priest of Glenelg until Easter.
Murray Bridge/Murray Mallee/Mallee Border parishes: Fr Vimal Raj will take over as parish priest.
Salisbury parish: Fr Santosh Periera MSFS is appointed assistant priest.
Plympton parish: Fr Denis Ssemuju is appointed Administrator with Deacon Paul Crowe to continue to support Fr Denis and the parish community. Bishop O’Kelly expressed his thanks to Fr Anthony Kain for his dedicated ministry as parish priest of Plympton.
Other appointments announced include:
Mount Gambier parish: Fr Saminathan Arockiasamy SDM is appointed assistant priest, effective from the weekend of February 15/16.
Clearview/Kilburn parish: Fr Selva Raj will take over as parish priest, effective from the weekend of April 18/19. Bishop O’Kelly extended his thanks to Fr Leon Czechowicz for his dedicated ministry to the parish and wished him well as he moves to retirement.
Noarlunga Seaford parish: Fr Paul Mwaura is appointed assistant priest, effective from the weekend of April 18/19.
Bishop O’Kelly congratulated the clergy on their appointments and extended his thanks to those who have delayed retirement in order to continue in service to their parishes for the short term.
