Service of remembrance on Father's Day

Dads who are no longer with us will be remembered at a special Father’s Day event at Enfield Memorial Park on Sunday September 1 from 10am until 12noon.

South Australian families are invited to attend the free event to honour fathers past and present.

Complimentary refreshments will be served including children’s fairy floss sculptures crafted by local food identity Eddie Doodles from Sky Doodles, milkshakes and barista coffee.

The service, led by led by civil celebrant Bruce Logan will begin at 10.30am, followed by a lively informal gathering.

Families have been invited to submit their favourite photos of Dad which will be projected as a video montage on the day.

“Our Father’s Day event is an Adelaide Cemeteries Authority tradition that encourages our community to reflect on and share stories about Dad,” Adelaide Cemeteries Authority CEO Robert Pitt said.

“It’s an opportunity for families, friends and children to appreciate the fathers, grandfathers and other influential male figures who have had a positive impact on our lives.”

Adelaide Cemeteries Authority’s Father’s Day event will be held at Enfield Memorial Park’s Folland Lawn, located at Browning Street in Clearview, on Sunday 1 September from 10am until 12noon.
