Adelaide will welcome two new priests from overseas to ministry in the Archdiocese this month.
Fr George Ocholo Oluoch is a 46-year-old priest from the Diocese of Homa Bay, Kenya. He was ordained a priest in 2006 and has served as the chaplain of devotional groups and ecclesiastical associations in his diocese.
The bishop of Fr Oluoch’s diocese is Bishop Michael Odiwa who served in the Adelaide Archdiocese from 2015 to 2021.
Fr Luka Poljak, 32, comes from the Diocese of Subotica, Croatia, and will be supporting both the Archdiocese and the Croatian Catholic Community.
Ordained in 2019, Fr Poljak served as a parish vicar and in administrative roles in Croatia and Serbia. He then worked for the Croatian Catholic Mission in Paris.
