Hundreds of South Australians were among almost 20,000 young people urged to set the world on fire with their faith at the Australian Catholic Youth Festival in Sydney this month.

Older people at Mount Carmel Residential Care are bucking a national trend by welcoming plenty of young visitors to their aged care facility in Rosewater.

Centacare Catholic Family Services and the Adelaide Archdiocese's Child Protection Unit have launched National Child Protection Week with a focus on growing community awareness, connectedness and capacity to protect vulnerable families.
