Nine outstanding South Australian educators, including one who helps students raise chickens called Hennifer Lopez and Eggie Betts, were recognised at the annual Catholic Education Awards ceremony on May 18.

Helping to raise awareness – and money – to support Indigenous literacy programs was one way Sam Austin showed his commitment to social justice issues during his final year of secondary schooling.
Experienced educator Tony Daley has been appointed principal of St Michael’s College, commencing January 2023.
More than 3000 students have participated in an education program through the Adelaide Holocaust Museum and Andrew Steiner Education Centre (AHMSEC) since it was launched in March last year.
A program to increase connection to and understanding of Indigenous culture and heritage has been a heart-warming and positive experience for all involved at St Michael’s College, according to facilitator Martin Pascoe.
