Resilience, peace and hope provided the inspiration for a collection of student artwork on display at St Gabriel’s School Enfield recently.

‘Lucky’ Fr Leon ready for next adventure

A keen golfer and snow skier, Fr Leon Czechowicz was an active 60 year old leading a busy life as parish priest of Elizabeth when he was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Mary MacKillop College held transition days for incoming Year 7 students who were encouraged to take a photo of their new friends at the ‘flower wall’. Principal Kath McGuigan and CESA director Neil McGoran also popped in for a ‘keepsake’ snap.

New era for Year 7s

The start of the 2019 school year next month will also herald new beginnings for Catholic education in South Australia as Year 7 becomes part of secondary schooling.

Shared passion for Earth and faith

The importance of caring for the environment and respecting different faiths were just two of the messages highlighted during the pastoral visitation to the Clearview-Kilburn parish in June.
