In what will be the first major gathering of the faithful since COVID hit, more than 3000 Catholics from parishes and multicultural groups throughout the Archdiocese will converge on the Adelaide Showgrounds on May 16 for the annual Marian Procession and Peace Rally.
The 70th anniversary of the Marian Procession didn’t quite go to plan but organisers were pleased that approximately 800 people packed into St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral after inclement weather forced a change of venue.

On Sunday, May 19 this year, many communities within the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide will gather to take part in the annual Marian Procession and Peace Rally. This year’s procession is the 70th in the series and will be a public honouring of Mary, the Mother of God and Mother of the Church.
