Adelaide Hills parish is one of 15 organisations to to be allocated funding from Catholic Emergency Relief Australia to support communities recovering from bushfires that devastated large parts of the country last summer.

Ashes taken from a blackened roadside on Kangaroo Island have provided a symbolic reminder of devastation and new hope for locals who attended an ecumenical Ash Wednesday service on February 26.
We know the comment that someone’s dreams turned to ashes. It happened in our State earlier this year: more than 80 homes destroyed on Kangaroo Island; more than 60 in the Adelaide Hills.
When the devastation from the recent bushfires in South Australia became clear, a group of female prisoners in Adelaide decided they wanted to help those affected in some way.
