Riverlea Park campus, which is part of Xavier College, will become the school’s fourth campus when it is completed next year and a new principal is sought to start work in term 3, 2026.

Recruitment for further leadership roles will occur later this year, followed by teaching and support staff appointments as the college approaches the campus opening.

“This is a rare opportunity to lead a new campus and shape a learning environment where every student is known, cared for and challenged to thrive,” Xavier principal Mark Flaherty said.

“As our college grows, we are continuing to strengthen the way we support students and families. This is one of several strategies focused on ensuring every child is supported throughout their learning journey.”

The Riverlea Park campus will cater initially for students in Reception to Year 6, with plans to grow to Year 12 over time. Strong community interest is already evident, with enrolment applications for 2027 now exceeding 270 students.

Meanwhile, construction of the Riverlea Park Campus continues to advance rapidly, with significant milestones including the ground, first and second floor slabs, central elevator structure and structural walls which are now in place.

The campus is an integral part of the broader Riverlea development led by Walker Corporation, with the City of Playford and CESA also partnering on a community and sporting facility that will support the college and wider region.

The recruitment comes alongside recent enhancements to the college’s leadership structure by Catholic Education South Australia (CESA), designed to strengthen campus-based leadership while maintaining a strong, whole-of-college approach.

Xavier College will continue to operate as one college, led by Mr Flaherty, with each campus led by a dedicated campus principal.

Applications for the Riverlea Park principal position close on Monday, 27 April.
