Exciting expansion in western suburbs
Schools
The opening and blessing of Mount Carmel College’s Carmelite Centre and the Western Technical College expansion on April 4 was a proud day for students and the wider college community.

Guests and VIPs in attendance included Archbishop Patrick O’Regan, Education Minister Blair Boyer and Dr Neil McGoran, Executive Director of Catholic Education SA.
Students made visitors feel welcome with entertainment by the college choir, and the student body listening intently to the messages delivered by the speakers.
Located at Rosewater, Western Technical College is a joint initiative of the Catholic Church Endowment Society Incorporated and the South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools and has been developed in partnership with the State Government and the Mount Carmel College Community, including the Rosewater Trade Training Centre and its partnership with the Federal Government.
The expansion solidifies its place at the forefront of outstanding education in the region. Training opportunities cover a range of career pathways including automotive, construction, plumbing, electrotechnology, electronics, engineering, hairdressing, makeup and beauty.
The Carmelite Centre, meanwhile, is a multi-purpose airconditioned space for learning, play and recreation.
