Skills that matter


St Patrick’s Technical College students recently made cakes and delivered morning tea to the Vinnies Women’s Crisis Centre as part of the college’s Skills for Life and Mentoring programs.

Students also cooked a barbecue for the Men’s Crisis Centre and throughout the year have organised other activities to support the work of Vinnies, Catherine House, Project Compassion (Caritas) and ASCEND Youth Suicide Prevention run by Centacare Catholic Family Services.

Students come up with their own ideas for outreach work which helps develop their entrepreneurial skills.
