To be held from August 21 to 27, the week will see schools opening their doors for tours, open days and ‘come try’ events to give interested families an insight into why Catholic education is a choice worth making. Some schools will even offer virtual tours on their websites so families can get a taste of what a Catholic school can offer – without having to leave their home!

As part of Catholic Schools Open Week, Catholic education will also be ‘front and centre’ in a major Statewide advertising campaign.

More than 90 students from Catholic schools across South Australia will be featured in advertisements on billboards, buses, bus shelters and in retail shopping centres. Print, online and radio advertising will be seen and heard across regional areas during the week.

CESA director Dr Neil McGoran said the week was a great way for families to learn more about what a Catholic education offers.

“Catholic Schools Open Week is an opportunity for any parent considering a Catholic education for their child to meet their local Catholic school and discover how we work in partnership with families to educate and nurture young people,” he said.

A list of Catholic Schools Open Week activities planned at participating schools is available at cesa.catholic.edu.au
