Feast day fun
Schools
Students from Mary MacKillop Memorial School at Penola took part in a range of activities on March 19 to celebrate the feast day of St Joseph – Jesus’ father, carpenter, and patron saint of the Universal Church.
Some students made paper lilies, as many pictures show Joseph holding the flower, while others had the opportunity to try their hand at carpentry, in honour of his trade.
The whole school also attended Mass in St Joseph Church, where Fr Michael Romeo blessed loaves which were later shared by students with their class.
