Preparing for Open Week
Schools
Catholic schools around the State are getting ready to tell their stories and open their doors to the wider community next month.
Catholic Schools Open Week will be held from August 10 to 16 and will serve as a way for parents in the community to visit their local Catholic school and learn more about what they have to offer.
A magazine, which will appear in The Advertiser on August 1, will also include information about each school and feature outstanding achievements by Catholic school students.
To further promote the week, Catholic Education SA’s (CESA) new tagline ‘Raising Hearts and Minds’ will be appearing on billboards and bus shelters around the metropolitan area.

CESA’s Communications and Public Relations manager Shannon Short said this will be the second year the Open Week has been held and it will be a much bigger event.
“My hope is that long term Catholic School Open Week will resonate in our community like the university open days do and people will understand that’s the week you go and check out your local Catholic school,” she said.
Ms Short said during the week schools were being encouraged to offer tours of their grounds where possible, while some were exploring virtual tours and conducting online conversations with interested parents.
