As Anzac Day was remembered in different ways last month, Year 7 student leaders at St Joseph’s School, Clare, paid their respects to the fallen at their own Dawn Service.

Organised with the help of principal Peter Shearer, the leadership team and their families gathered at the school gate and, placed 1.5m apart, stood in silent respect holding a lit candle.

School captain Brady Gray read the Ode of Remembrance and a recording of The Last Post was played. Following a minute’s silence the Reveille was sounded and then everyone sang the national anthem before school captain Alice McMurray placed a wreath.
