Science sensation
Schools
Juliette Knighton from St Martin's Catholic Primary School at Greenacres might be considering a career in the field of science following her success in last year’s International Competition Assessment for Schools (ICAS) competition.
With more than one million students participating, the competition recognises and rewards academic excellence in the areas of maths, English, science, digital technologies and spelling.
Demonstrating her depth of knowledge in science, Juliette achieved the highest score of any Year 3 student in South Australia and the Northern Territory and was presented the University of New South Wales ICAS Medal for Science.
It was a successful year for many other students at St Martin’s with 27 receiving merits, credits, distinctions and high distinctions in the competition.
