High tech studio a game changer
Schools
Students at Christian Brothers College enjoyed the chance to learn about future career opportunities in digital arts when the impressive Airstream mobile studio rolled into the school earlier this month.
The high-tech trailer is fitted out with an array of large screens and computers designed to offer participants an insight into the world of digital arts through game design and coding.
The mobile studio, which is run by the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE), tours schools around the country and CBC was one of the select colleges on its Adelaide itinerary.
Senior students were eager to engage in this area of learning, with many exploring 3D animation, coding and game design through Unity3D, a tool that has become commonplace amongst game developers.
Students building upon their STEM-focused learning at the college enjoyed the opportunity to connect with AIE’s industry trainers during the September 3 visit, and to learn using the latest software – with many impressed by what they achieved in a short space of time.
