After a 12 month construction project and an investment of $12.7m, the St Michael’s College Year 12 students have officially moved in to their new senior learning centre.
The centre has been modelled on a university hub design and includes flexible learning spaces that cater for individual and group learning.
The two-storey building includes 12 contemporary teaching spaces, senior science space, 300-seat auditorium, café, integrated technologies, hospitality area, staff facilities and environmentally-friendly design.
The facility is adjacent to the main oval and provides new change rooms, community area, carpark, landscaped outdoor gathering and learning spaces, and a foyer dedicated to the history of the De La Salle Brothers.
The new complex will be officially opened and blessed on August 9.
