Dr D’Ortenzio has been chief operating officer of the Adelaide Festival Centre Trust for the past 12 years.

With a career spanning three decades in private and public sectors across multiple areas, he has significant experience in strategic planning, risk management, financial management, governance and property.

During his time with the Adelaide Festival Centre Trust, Dr D’Ortenzio led the development and implementation of significant and complex capital works projects, including expansion of the Festival Centre and Her Majesty’s Theatre.

Among his academic achievements is a PhD in Change and Transformational Management, and he is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Announcing his appointment, Archbishop Patrick O’Regan said Dr D’Ortenzio followed the Catholic faith and participated in St Laurence’s parish community at North Adelaide.

“I congratulate Carlo on his appointment…and I look forward to welcoming him to the Archdiocese,” he said.

Earlier, Archbishop O’Regan thanked Mr Neville for his financial management of the Archdiocese for the past 12 years, and another nine years of employment with Centacare Catholic Family Services.

“In his time with us, Andrew has provided leadership and coordination of financial, risk and prudential resource management across the Archdiocese’s agencies and entities, including Centacare and the Catholic Education Office,” he said.

“Andrew, and the achievements of the teams for which he is responsible, are many and have placed the Archdiocese on a firm financial footing which allows continued support of the mission and goals of the Archdiocese.

“We thank Andrew sincerely for his commitment to his position and for his financial stewardship of the Archdiocese and wish him every joy and blessing in his future endeavours.”
