RAISING THEIR VOICES: Power Up 2024 was a large, free event held by the Catholic Office for Youth and Young Adults (COYYA) at Prospect’s Blackfriars Priory School on May 18. It included a Mass, meditations, dinner and a praise and worship concert. A ‘Raise Up Your Voice’ workshop led by special guest Melbourne musician Gen Bryant was a highlight. Participants sang, clapped and danced along. The ‘Watering My Faith’ workshop used flowers as an analogy for faith. Each participant received a pot plant on which youth minister Sharina Rabusic asked them to write a commitment dedicated to caring for their faith. Each time they water it, they’ll remember.
