Blessing for Pinkerton Plains cemetery
Local
The recently renovated Pinkerton Plains Catholic cemetery was the site of a special blessing on All Souls Day by Northern Light parish priest Fr Mark Sexton.
The cemetery is situated on the site of the former St Benedict’s Church near Hamley Bridge. It was badly damaged in the 2015 Pinery bushfire and a generous bequest from deceased parishioner Monica Farrelly assisted in the upgrade of the cemetery.
The parish office (8566 2064) welcomes any enquiries from Catholic families seeking a burial site for a family member.
A columbarium for ashes is also available and anyone seeking a long-term location for a family headstone is encouraged to enquire.
