Christmas in the Wild West
Local
A Christmas story with a twist is being presented by Soul Factor Gospel Choir during this year’s Adelaide Fringe.
The unconventional telling of the ageless story of Jesus’ birth is set in the small town of Bethlehem in Wyoming Territory in 1880.
Soul Factor Gospel Choir is an Adelaide gospel choir directed by Sharon Raymond. Formed in February 2000, the group presents three major concerts each year and can be seen in church and community events around Adelaide.
The choir comprises singers from many denominations who pitch their message to all ages.
Called For Unto Y’All… Christmas in the Wild West, the adaptation of the 20-year-old Robert Sterling production, is being performed at the Goodwood Institute from February 28 to March 3.
Publicist Howard Raymond said the musical had plenty of humour but the “wonderful message of Christmas comes through loud and clear”.
Tickets available from FringeTix.
