Christmas a cure for what hurts in the world
Local
Christmas is about the cure for what hurts in the world, a dawning of a world where everyone is treated as if they are absolutely precious. This is the message of Father Philip Marshall, the Administrator Delegate of the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide.
At a time when there is a sense of harshness in the world, a lack of willingness to forgive and a weariness when confronted again by those who don’t have a safe home or enough food, Fr Marshall reminds us that God was born for each one of us.
“If you were the only person in creation, God would still be born for you,” he says.
“You are infinitely precious. Nothing to do with your strength, beauty or achievements, just the fact of your (totally loved) existence.”
