More than 500 people attended a prayer workshop on Divine Mercy presented by Fr Chris Alar MIC at St Peter Claver Church, Dulwich, on June 4.
Fr Alar toured Australia and New Zealand after attending the World Apostolic Congress of Mercy in Samoa.
Organisers said there was a lot of interest in Fr Alar’s ministry and his Adelaide event was a great success.
The former wrestler and engineer is the Provincial Superior of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception in Stockbridge, USA.
He entered the Marian Fathers, a religious community entrusted with spreading the message and devotion of Divine Mercy, as a postulant in July 2006.

Prior to that time, he received a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan.
After working as an engineering manager at a large automotive supplier in Detroit and then owning his own consulting firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, he decided to pursue a religious vocation.
Fr Alar hosts the EWTN show Living Divine Mercy and is the head of Marian Press, located on the grounds of the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
His tour to Australia was sponsored by Divine Mercy Australia and Parousia Media.
