Songs for Myanmar

A classical music concert held at St Aloysius Church Sevenhill, has raised more than $2500 for St Michael’s Catholic community in Myanmar.
Sevenhill and Riverton/Manoora parishes recently developed a partnership with the small parish in northern Myanmar that has experienced war and large-scale displacement of people for the past 20 years.
Now struggling with the COVID pandemic and a humanitarian emergency, the parish is in desperate need of infrastructure improvements and health services.
Sevenhill Parish Pastoral Council chair John Grbin said the Songs for Myanmar concert was very successful with wonderful performances from Opera Australia soprano Karina Bailey and her accompanist Yining Zhang.
