With COVID presenting challenges to the organisation’s ability to receive donated non-perishable food items and activity resources, monetary donations are now preferable.

Inspired by Blessed Edmund Rice, ERCSA responds to the needs of children and families experiencing significant and complex disadvantage, marginalisation and social isolation in the community.

“We strive to support children who have experienced trauma and adversity to thrive and belong,” said Community Engagement coordinator Caitlin Brown.

“We provide a variety of group-based, recreational activities for participants who otherwise could not afford or access opportunities like this.”

Across three camp programs in January, more than 100 ERCSA volunteers will serve more than 70 children who look forward to attending the “best camp ever”, said Caitlin.
