Charities golf day a hit
Local
Held just days before the State went into lockdown, the annual Catholic Charities Golf Day was a great success with 97 golfers playing at Westward Ho Golf Club, West Beach.
The golf day raises funds to support Centacare Catholic Family Services projects including Auricht House which provides respite care for families with children living with a disability.
The event was possible due to the sponsors (Whelan family – Premier Panel Services and Southern Cross Care) and the dedicated Golf Day Committee chaired by Peter McCarthy.
Catholic Charities and Centacare Catholic Family Services thanked the players, sponsors and committee for their generosity and efforts in putting together the event in challenging times.
