Some of Adelaide’s newest international priests have been appointed to parishes in the Archdiocese.

Archbishop Patrick O’Regan announced that Fr Dominick Okwadha had been appointed assistant priest of Mount Gambier parish, with additional responsibilities to support the wider deanery needs under the direction of the Dean, Fr Dean Marin.

Originally from Kenya, Fr Dominick ministered for several years in Rwanda before coming to Adelaide earlier this year. He took up his appointment on July 11.

Indian priest Fr Arul Dev SDM was appointed assistant priest of Noarlunga Seaford parish, effective from the weekend of July 18.

Fr Paul Mwaura Gicheha , who came from Kenya last year, will remain in the Yorke Peninsula parish to support Fr John Mbaraka for the remainder of this year.

Archbishop O’Regan congratulated the priests on their appointments and assured them of prayers and support as they take up their new ministries.
