Cathedral hosts Stations of the Cross for children
Local
Families and young people are being invited to attend a special Stations of the Cross on Good Friday in St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral.
Following the usual Stations of the Cross at 10am, a service catering specifically for young people will be held at 11.15am.
Parish administrator Fr Charles Gauci said the initiative was in response to a request from parents to commemorate Jesus Christ’s last day on Earth as a man in a way that would be easily understood by children. He is asking those who attend to bring along some hot cross buns for the children to share afterwards in the Cathedral Hall.
A number of parishes will host outdoor services for Stations of the Cross.
