Pope Francis has expressed his gratitude to the people of the Adelaide Archdiocese for their contribution to the 2017 Peter’s Pence appeal.

Acknowledging the offerings of more than $57,000, Archbishop Angelo Becciu said His Holiness wished him to thank Archbishop Wilson for this contribution to his apostolic ministry.

“He is aware of the sacrifice this collection entailed and that the faithful were motivated by love of Jesus Christ and fidelity to the See of Peter,” Cardinal Becciu wrote.

“Invoking upon you and the clergy, religious and laity of the Archdiocese grace and peace in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Father cordially imparts his Apostolic Blessing.”
