A group of 10 Adelaide women braved the cold and rain to trek up Brown Hill at Mitcham in solidarity with women across the world who are disproportionately affected by poverty.

Women of the World is an awareness campaign held during August and September.

After reading a personal story of hope and learning about Caritas programs, the group climbed the steep hill as a symbol of how women who are empowered can climb out of poverty.
