If it wasn’t for the money raised through the Project Compassion appeal and the work of Caritas Australia, Fr George Sigamony is not sure how his home country would be faring right now.

Hopeful future for Janaki

Each year Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion, which runs through the six weeks of Lent, brings together communities across Australia, in solidarity with the world’s poor, to help end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity. Each week The Southern Cross will publish a story on how Project Compassion is making a different to the lives of individuals, their families and communities.
