Fire Weekend set to warm Adelaide

The Adelaide Fire Weekend, hosted by the Disciples of Jesus Covenant Community, is returning to Adelaide in July.
Aimed at people of all ages, including young people and families, the event will feature talks, a live praise and worship band, Masses, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and time for community building.
Interstate guests will include Stephen and Karen Kirk, Bernadette Toohey MGL and Fr Dave Tremble MGL, who will be accompanied by local presenters and musicians.
Sr Bernadette, who was born and raised in Adelaide, said the weekend of faith formation and renewal experience followed a vibrant and well attended event in 2022.
She said previous participants had commented that the event enabled them to witness the Church in Adelaide “come alive and be touched by the Holy Spirit in a powerful way”.
This year’s Adelaide Fire Weekend is taking place at Blackfriars Priory School, Prospect, on July 15 and 16.
