Tenison Woods talk

The exploits of a 19th century scientist make for an unlikely topic for a faith formation program but that’s what Father Roderick O’Brien will be talking about at Lefevre parish on February 16.

Every Wednesday a group of Indigenous women meet at the Otherway Centre at Stepney for craft work, conversation and lunch. Part of the Aboriginal Catholic Ministry, the program attracts up to 15 women who enjoy painting vases, making jewellery, knitting and other activities. Pictured are, front, Neva Wilson, Amelia Campbell, Pam Charles, Pauline O’Brien; and back, Alice Newchurch, Glenys Curtis, Erika Baluch and First Nations coordinator for Centacare Catholic Community Services, Danica Davidson.
