Music, prayer and chat for everyone

St Ignatius College in Adelaide’s eastern foothills turned into a loud and vibrant hub of music, community and encounter for dozens of young people in late July courtesy of the Catholic Office for Youth and Young Adults (COYYA) and its annual Power Up campaign.
COYYA was on hand to facilitate an afternoon of workshops (grounded in faith, ecology and social justice) and an opportunity to experience contemporary prayer and spirituality, participate in spiritual reflection and formation, followed by a 6pm Mass and dinner with live music.
Earlier, three women – Sr Elizabeth Morris RSJ (Vicar for Religious), Mary Cresp RSJ and Nithya Rayappan CP organised a ‘Vocation Activation’ which was an opportunity for anyone present (the demographic was 16–35) to call by or have a conversation focused on national vocations awareness week that ran shortly after was a very well received evening.
