The annual Archbishop’s Christmas Card Competition has again attracted hundreds of entries from Catholic students around SA.
The winning entry, which appears on Archbishop Patrick O’Regan’s electronic Christmas card, came from Whitefriars Catholic School Year 2 student Chloe Cluse.
Other winning entrants were Georgia Marley, Dominican School Semaphore; Aisha Thorpe, Emmaus Catholic School; and Mia Arnold Furno, St Francis School, Lockleys. They will receive Wallis Cinema passes.
Special mention to the students from 1DC at St Joseph’s Payneham for their collage of images which will feature on this year’s Certificate of Participation.
Entries ranged from colourful sketches of the nativity scene using a range of materials to digitally-generated images including a 3-D card and decorated envelope cleverly crafted by McAuley Community School Year 4 student Amelia Scott.
Catholic Communications director Jenny Brinkworth said the number and quality of entries made judging extremely difficult and she thanked teachers and students for their support and participation.
