Bright thinkers in the fields of space, technology, agriculture and sustainability were awarded 2024 Playford Trust scholarships at the annual awards night held in Adelaide in April.

Year 7 students from Tenison Woods College, Mary MacKillop Memorial School and St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School travelled to Canberra for the national Remembrance Day ceremony. A student from each school laid a commemorative cross at the Australian War Memorial. There were joined by more students from St Francis de Sales and Dominican Primary School. Other highlights of the trip included visiting the Old Parliament House, National Gallery of Australia, Australian Institute of Sport and the Australian Electoral Office.
A multi-purpose community sports centre, a new primary school and an early learning centre will be built at St Francis de Sales College, Mount Barker.
