Tea Tree Gully parish, winner of the Adelaide Archdiocese’s Safeguarding Sunday art competition, has been praised for its commitment to giving children a voice.
Children in parishes will be busy showing their artistic skills this month when they take part in a competition being conducted by the Adelaide Archdiocese as part of Child Protection Week.
Children are being encouraged to show their artistic skills as part of a competition marking Safeguarding Sunday on September 8.
As parishes prepare to mark Safeguarding Sunday on September 10 at the conclusion of National Child Protection Week, the importance of giving children a voice was highlighted by the Guardian for Children and Young People, Shona Reid, at a forum at Sophia Centre last month.
