Mass of the Roses

Students and teachers from Rosary School took part in a Mass of the Roses to celebrate their devotion to Mary, and also the name of their school on November 9. Each student was encouraged to bring their Rosary beads and roses for a blessing, which made for a colourful scene inside Rosary Church at Prospect.

Declan Corby from St Francis Xavier’s Regional Catholic School got to run out on the field with the Crows at the AFL Preliminary Final held in Adelaide. The Year 3 student won a competition run by the Crows Children Foundation and was selected from 500 entries for his dream in being the first amputee to play in the AFL. Declan met the team and coach Don Pyke the day before the game and was interviewed by the media. He was presented with a guernsey by his favourite player Eddie Betts.
