The revving of racing cars was replaced by the sound of upbeat music, prayer and worship when the Zimbabwe Catholics of Australia and New Zealand (ZimCatholics) held their annual conference at Rydges Pit Lane Hotel in Tailem Bend from September 26-29.

Catholic and community leaders have been urged to build a world “reflective of Jesus’ love” where the needs of the poor, freedom of the weak and access of marginalised groups are priorities.
While Adelaide may still hold the title as the ‘City of Churches’, there is a pressing need to reinvigorate local places of worship to be more relevant and widely used by the community, a conference heard last month.
