Raising awareness about domestic and family violence is never easy but when Christian Brothers College (CBC) and St Mary’s College recently joined forces to host a basketball fundraising event to do exactly that, the result was a touching display of camaraderie.

Christian Brothers College, a Birth–Year 12 school for boys, belongs to a family of Christian Brothers’ Schools in Australia, and throughout the world, who for the past 200 years have followed the vision of Blessed Edmund Ignatius Rice, the founder of the Christian Brothers.

Visible presence for inner city school

A sea of purple and white flooded St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral and Wakefield Street on August 15 as approximately 1100 students, staff, old scholars and special guests celebrated the college’s 140th anniversary.
