Life is a Cabaret

For the third consecutive year, a student from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College has won a much-sought after spot in the Class of Cabaret.
Grace Paeley impressed in her auditions and was selected as one of the 20 students in this year’s program. Since February the group has been meeting weekly to rehearse and learn the art of Cabaret from some of the industry’s best, preparing for a performance at the Festival Theatre on June 22.
Singer, songwriter, Grace, 17, was born in Ghana after her parents left war-torn Liberia and Sierra Leone. In 2005 the family moved to Australia and Grace said music had played an important part in her transition to her new surroundings.
“Music has had a big impact in my life as it has helped me to read, write, relax and find myself when I’m lost,” she said.
Since starting at OLSH College Grace has performed in the school musicals and also in dance, music and drama programs.
She joins past students Svetlana Dias, Mina Nguyen (2018) and Gemma Caruana (2017) as OLSH College representatives in Cabaret.
